Presale involved in 99% of all proposals
CBS expanded presale coverage to ensure that your proposals are billable. Please continue to involve your Presale Manager. Remember, any changes made after the initial approval need to be re-evaluated by your Presale Manager. A current listing of your Presale contacts is available at http://mcit.cbs.com.

Web based access of contracts made available
In October, CBS's Billing Contract Administration introduced web based access of contracts for the field and legal. Access is available for all contracts received after August 1996 to current. To view the contracts, visit the website http://bca.bms.mci.com/bca/index.htm.
Consolidated invoicing and reporting system a reality
In 1998 CBS will migrate the majority of contracts to the Quasar billing system. Quasar is a proven success and currently bills over $2 billion annually (90% of all carrier contracts). The migration of contracts to Quasar will increase the timeliness, accuracy, consistency and efficiency of billing SCA contracts.

Operation Fast Track delivers
You told us you wanted improved implementation timeliness. Contract Billing Implementation Solutions (CBIS) is streamlining the implementation process to deliver accurate contract implementations more quickly than ever before. The key initiative of Operation Fast Track is to implement nMCI One and ICA contracts in an average of 65 days after customer signature. This is a reduction of 46% over current processes! OFT is on track for a Q2 rollout.
CBS will introduce Contract Certification!
You told us that you want to understand how and what CBS audits. In 1997, CBS developed MC2, a Methodology for Contract Certification. In 1998, CBS will implement the MC2 contract certification process and communicate to you the certification strategy and findings for each customer. You will be able to share a customer-specific audit checklist with your customer that demonstrates CBS audits the terms and conditions of their contract.

Intranet access to your customer's billing package
In 1997, CBS conducted a pilot of intranet access to customer billing packages. Online Imaging provides secured access to contract information. In 1998 this pilot will be expanded to support a larger customer base. Look for more information about this exciting service within the next few months!
